New personal exhibition in Havana by the artist Martha Jimenez Perez

Camaguey- The inauguration of the personal exhibition "Riesgo", by the artist Martha Jimenez, will take place on December 14, at 10:00 am, at the Center of Hispanic American Culture, located in the Cuban capital.

The aforementioned cultural institution belongs to the Office of the Historian of the City of Havana, and is located on Malecon street, number 17, between Prado and Capdevila. The exposition will be available to the public until February 14, 2019.

As another attractive option, in the context of this personal exhibition by Martha Jimenez, there will be the presentation of the art book "The difficult thing to be female".

Martha Petrona Jimenez Perez is one of the most representative artists of contemporary Cuban visual arts. She has many exhibitions, between personal and collectives. She deserved the UNESCO Prize in 1997.

Among the laurels she has deserved are the UNEAC Prize for the "Plaza del Carmen Sculptural Ensemble"; the Prize in the Second Contemporary Biennial of Teapots, in Shanghai, China; the Prize for the Best Monumental Sculpture at the 5th International Terracotta Symposium, in Eskisehir, Turkey; and the First Prize in the Biennial of Ceramics, Sculptures, Installations and Projects, in Havana.

Her works are in institutional and private collections; in nations such as Cuba, France, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and Canada, among other countries.
