The Cuban in the contemporary sculpture of Martha Jimenez

Neither the late XX and the beginning of the XXI have clouded the critical look that Martha Jimenez establishes with the universe that surrounds her. Thus, this creative, who lives in the center of the island of Cuba, continues to trap the subtle contrasts between races and ethnies that time has bequeathed to the world today and, with singular grace, naked in elegant flirting the essence of the Cuban, her dexterity, her tenacity, and that sense of joyful hope that blacks, whites, and chinese, just to mention some of their most important ingredients, proudly claim their homeland. It is the confessed claim of this author that the present-day Cuba is a realm where exclusion is excluded from all reality.
